Connecting Tippets to Leaders

There are several knots you can use to connect a tippet to a leader, but I doubt if any are as quick, or as easy, as the loop-to-loop connection.

1. In the terminal end of your leader, tie a loop using a Surgeon's Knot.
2. On one end of the tippet, tie a loop, also with the Surgeon's Knot.
3. Connect the two loops resulting in what appears to be a Square Knot.

Now, when you need to change the tippet, just unloop the old one and loop on a new one.
